Help Fight AIDS Through Books and Music is a group of volunteers and supporters who want to make a difference in helping People With HIV/AIDS & other serious illnesses.
The project was initiated in 1993 by a local volunteer, Steve Kozlowski who continues to coordinate the project. Steve was recipient of the Jefferson Award for his efforts!
About 100-200 volunteers participate annually.
Literally thousands of volunteers have participated since the project began raising over $750,000!
A cadre of amazing volunteers have kept our efforts going for over 20 years! Some of our volunteers.have been helping for over 10 years!

Help Fight AIDS Through Books and Music is an all-volunteer project benefiting the Alliance for PositiveHealth.. We hold book sales and related fund raising activities. Proceeds help the Alliance meet emergency financial or special needs of their clients. which cannot be met elsewhere including food, housing or transportation costs..
The money also enables the Alliance to provide special programs and activities that improve clients' well being and quality of life.
We display AIDS/HIV prevention and educational material at our events and information about services of the Alliance for Positive Health. Our goals are to also promote AIDS understanding and prevention and to increase support and compassion for People With HIV/AIDS and for others with debilitating diseases. We also promote voluntarism.
